Seafood restaurant Hook has taken a new 15 year lease after the owner - 94 year old Paolo Boggi - decided it was finally time to hang up his apron. Read more »
  • Surrey Pub Provides First Home for New Smokehouse Concept
    28 Apr Smokes and Grills, the new gastro-pub concept serving an American inspired barbecue menu, has secured its first site after Davis Coffer Lyons - the leisure specialists - completed the off-market sale of the Duke of Wellington in East Horsley, Surrey on behalf of a private individual for an undisclosed sum. The aspiring chain plans to open another five Smokes and Grills pubs over the next three years in similar rural locations with plans to subsequently look to move into London. Read more »

    10 Apr Italian caffè bar and deli, La Bottega is to open the first of its re-defined concept on Monmouth Street in Seven Dials after Davis Coffer Lyons - the leisure specialists - secured the letting on behalf of Shaftesbury PLC.   • Turtle Bay sails into Walthamstow
    07 Apr Turtle Bay - the Piper Private Equity backed Caribbean restaurant chain - has, through Davis Coffer Lyons - the leisure specialists - secured its first site in London. The expanding operator has taken a 4,000 sq ft corner unit at Cleveland Place - a mixed-use development on Walthamstow High Street, which will include a nine screen 1,200 seat Empire cinema, 5-6 retail/restaurant units and 121 new homes.

    02 Apr The Old Ship Inn in Hackney has been sold by Davis Coffer Lyons - the leisure specialists - to Urban Pubs & Bars Ltd - the new company set up by the founders of Realpubs, Malcolm Heap and Nick Pring, last year (2013). This purchase follows the opening of the company’s first site Whippet Inn in Kensal Rise last month. Read more »
